I don't know if that's really good, or really pathetic! ;)
Well, my most recent news is not really pathetic at all!
I have a brand-new, baby cousin!!
(I'm copying and pasting a few things so you might recognize parts of it, just so you know)
Olivia Reid MacDonald was born to my Aunt & Uncle, Kayla and Glenn MacDonald.
She was born after 30 hours of labor with no pain meds
(Wow! Go Kayla!)
Time:2:47am
Weigh
Length: 19 1/2 inches long
And she is just downright adorable!

Don't you agree? :)
Sad new is that this means, unless a miracle happens, I'll have to wait to hold her for the first time until she's about 3months old...At the earliest... :'(
So far, I think this has been the ONLY part about coming to Pasadena that I haven't liked... :/
Oh...I'm sure you're all wondering what my title is referring to...
Well, when Kayla & Glenn told my grandparents, Rich & Pat Wilson, that Kayla was expecting, they (my grandparents) were given a white onesie with a 9 on the back...
Can you guess why?
Well, it's because Olivia is their 9th grandchild :)
Here are some Before & After pictures of said onsie:
(My Grandpop edited the 2nd one this morning)
*Sigh* I feel like an aunt now...but I'm only her cousin...
Hey Alicia...I know you only JUST turned 13...
But can you hurry up, get married, and have kids soon??
Thanks :P ;)
Just kidding!!! <3
I'll be content to wait...I'm pretty sure I'll be an aunt eventually...
I mean...I do have 5 younger siblings after all ;)
Well, I should probably go and continue studying for my Old Testament Exam that's in a little more than 4 hours...
Kayla and/or Glenn, call me when you're free. I'd love to hear from you guys as soon as possible!
:)
With So Much Love From So Far Away,
-Courtney
Thanks for the great post Courtney. I know Olivia would love to meet you earlier too. We'll call you as soon as we get home and settled.

Thanks Glenn :)
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to hearing from you guys!
(Btw, the new picture you posted on Facebook, the close-up one with her eyes opened, I love it!)
^_^
just getting around to commenting on this but thanks for the post Courtney! It's sad you aren't able to meet her right away, but I'm glad you're having an amazing time out there! When I was in Korea it was so hard missing out on some pretty big things (like Meghan's wedding!) but I tried to remember that there are ups and downs to everything and to focus on all the great experiences I was having where I was. Keep enjoying CA and we (three!) will be seeing you before you know it!
