So, after 7 looong days, I finally have a quick post for you all!!!
*Everyone Cheers*
;)
We have Chapel at Providence every Wednesday and Friday before lunch and this morning, we finally learned the Hebrew words to our Chapel Doxology for the year!!!
I absolutely LOVE to listen to/speak Hebrew, even when I don't understand it completely... ;)
It reminds me of all the times I've spent with my Jewish relatives in New Jersey during Hanukkah and Passover
^_^
*Insert A Happy, Yet Longing-Filled Sigh Here*
Needless to say, I was sooo super excited this morning! :)
So, here it is:
*Kadosh*
(The title is a YouTube link to the song)
English | Hebrew Lyrics:
Holy, Holy, Holy (x2) | Kadosh, Kadosh, Kadosh
Is the Lord, | Adonai
Our God, | Elohim
Lord of Hosts | Tz'va'ot
(x2)
Who was, and Who is, | Asher Hayah
And Who is to come| V'Hoveh V'Yavo
(x2)
----
We sing the Hebrew first, then English...
I LOVE Providence Chapel Services!!
^_^
So apparently there are Dutch words that go with it as well...
I think we should learn those too, being that Providence came from such strong Dutch Reformed roots...
;)
Well, that's all I have for right now...
More -will- follow soon...I promise!
With love and hugs from a Starbucks cafe in Pasadena...Shalom!
-Courtney
I can't believe my daughter has gone to the dark side (of the coffee world) & betrayed her hometown Dunkin Donuts, by frequenting the Evil Empire of coffee (Starbucks)! We'll have to change that bad habit when her mom & I come out to visit. ;-)
ReplyDeleteDad...Since I've been in California, I don't think I've seen ONE Dunkin Donuts here...!
ReplyDeleteIt's so weird!!!
