Dilemmas With My Grilled Cheese Sandwich

That moment when you're in the mood for a grilled cheese sandwich so you get two slices from the loaf of store-bought sourdough bread you got from the lounge along with two pieces of cheddar cheese and a tiny packet of butter from the cafeteria...
After putting them all together in sandwich form and toasting it in the panini maker, you have to wait for it to cool down...By this point, you get distracted and start to finish a letter you've been writing for almost a month...
After you have completely finished the letter and climbed up to the top bunk, you realize that your grilled cheese sandwich has gotten cold and you have to make that extremely difficult decision of whether or not to climb back down from your bed to heat it up in the microwave...
You decide that you can do your best to enjoy your sandwich cold and proceed to eat the crust...
(Because you know you should get past the stuff you don't like so you can thoroughly enjoy the parts you do)
...
Anyways, as you eat the crust, you start to realize that, no, it's not at all like the sourdough bread you make at home, and also, no, it is most certainly not a good idea to eat this sandwich cold...
In this instant you decide that everyone you know should hear about what you have just experienced and how much you miss making grilled cheese sandwiches with homemade sourdough bread...
So, after you finish writing this post, you decide to go and heat up this grilled cheese sandwich in hopes that it will taste better than it does at that moment...

...The Bite...

...Yay! It's Better!

----------------------------------

The Verdict?
Hearing the noises of the bubbling cheddar and smelling the yummy aroma of buttery toast and tasting the combination of all three ingredients at a fairly warm temperature is well worth the effort of climbing down the ladder; going out of your room; walking the roughly 8 steps it takes to get to the kitchenette; heating up your sandwich in the microwave; returning those 8 steps back towards your room; re-climbing the ladder to your bunk; setting yourself on your bed so that your feet dangle off its side; and experiencing a sudden burning sensation upon placing the sandwich into your mouth...

In other words you might ask?
...I am satisfied...
*The End*
^-^

...Except, now that I'm done writing this post, I have to go re-reheat my sandwich because I didn't eat it fast enough...Oh well...Time for a snack and a movie all to myself? Yes!

With love and a luke-warm sandwich,

  1. :D :D I'm afraid I'm not quite so smart as you - or maybe I'm lazier than you... I just learned to like cold sandwiches. :P :D

  2. I love that this whole post is on a sandwich and that you heated it up three times.
